UNITED STATES




 HISTORY
From 1865 many immigrants arrived in the United States, some came from Europe, from Britain, Ireland, from Italy, Russia and other parts of eastern and central Europe. Another came from Canada. Most came through the port of New York City,

THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR in America, began as a war between the Kingdom of Great Britain and thirteen British colonies in North America, and ended in a global war between several European great powers, such as conflicts in India and West Africa between Great Britain and France.
The result of this war was the peace of Paris.


BLACK AMERICANSMartin Luther King was an important civil rights activist. He was a leader in the movement to end racial segregation in the United States. His most famous address was the "I Have A Dream" speech. He was an advocate of non-violent protest and became the youngest man to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He was assassinated in 1968.

The people of France gave the Statue to the American People in 1886.

There is a ferry from Battery Park to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

INTRODUCING MY SELF

My name is Alexandra Marlés, I´m 25 years old, I`m from  Bogotá - Colombia, but I live in Madrid,     I' m a student of  Travel Agencies and Events Managemet, I like sports, especially swimming and line skate, I love rock music and salsa, I usually go to the work in the morning  and I always study in the afternoon. On Saturdays I go to swimming and the evening we often go to a salsa dance club. The next year I'll like to go to London or New York for learn more English and I Want to find friends and practise my English.
